What are the best areas of Bangkok to stay in?

Away from the seedy areas and prostitutes as I want to avoid them. 2 month trip with view to possible permanent relocation. Most of the condos/apartments I'm looking at are around Sukhumvit Road area. Accommodation budget= �600/30000 baht per month maximum for one person. Thank you very much.
