Can muslims out there explain to me why many of those in charge in muslim countries are so reactionary?

We live in the western world where we have freedom to think for ourselves. The Muslims abroad are like sheep and follow a leader without thinking things out for themselves. Unfortunately you are dealing with a lot of uneducated people.The Educated Moslems who think for themselves would not agree what is being done in the name of religion but, as they are in the minority they do not stand a chance if they were to stand up for justice or they too would be stoned to death or put in prisons. Their only relief is in their prayers and in Allah. They have no other alternative so we have to learn to tolerate what is going on even if we dont like it and cannot do anything about it but...one day as the younger generation becomes more educated and able to think for themselves the people of those countries might find justice and that may be the day of reckoning that we are all waiting for.
