Name of movie with Gas Mask cover?

I'm pretty sure the cover of the movie had a gas mask on it. I don't remember much, just that radioactive ashes were raining down on the town, and this guy has to lock himself up in his house and is worried about his wife the whole time. When she gets there he has to keep her locked outside...and it has a super shocking ending. Please help, I love this movie D:
