Was Maid Marian, at least in the Disney version, royalty?

Like.. I dunno a princess or something? Because at the end King Richard says he has an "outlaw for an in-law" but... I dunno... I know some people will write "Why does it matter" SO the reason I want to know is because I'm doing the real version of the Disney Princesses so yeah, I've so far got Kida, Cinderella, Snow White, Belle, Jasmine, Nala (Simba was King, Nala and Simba got together :D), Pocahontas, Ariel and Aurora. And if you need to know WHY I'm doing that as well *rolls eyes* :P it's because..... I like drawing? *cheesy grin* And I have fun doing the different styles of cartoon that they use and I'm a Disney fanatic 8-D
